Gert Duson - Rally promotor & coordinator - Europe
Mit der Lizenzierung durch Gert Duson, Vorsitzender von Living Stone Production vzw, ist Gert nun der neue Koordinator dieser Rally - Raid. Mit persönlicher Erfahrung in über 38 afrikanischen Ländern und zahlreichen Trans-Sahara Expeditionen gründete Gert Duson den allseits bekannten Touareg-Trail (Trans-Sahara-Rally). Der Touareg-Trail findet jährlich 70-80 Teilnehmer und nimmt die Route von Brüssel nach Benin durch verschiedenste Länder. Gert Duson ist ebenfalls Author des Buches "Mit der Ente durch Afrika. Nach Kapstadt in einem Citroen 2CV (Taschenbuch) " , nachdem er selbst in eine sehr abenteuerlichen Reise von Brüssel nach Benin mit einer Citroen 2CV Ente unternommen hatte. Hadi Bkai : Rally coordinator & promotor - Libya
Hadi Bkai started his activities as tour operator in 1997 and became quickly one of the Libyan leaders in the tourism market. After 12 years of experience he got involved in many of the big events taking place in Libya such as international folklore festivals, business events, expo & fairs , aviation services and motor sport events. Maurice Maurey: Race Director
Libya Rally, just like every year, also has Maurice Maurey in its team. After a professional career which mainly proceeded in countries in Asia, Middle-East and Africa, he is since a few years 100% focusing on his passion: rally sport! For many years, he has joined the AIO team (Amitiés Internationale Organisation) where he takes an active part in the race management of the Shamrock rally and the Raid de l'Amitié, both taking place in the Moroccan desert. Maurice is a certified "FIA Internationale Commissaire" (Licence Nr. 162031)
Alain Lopes: regularity road books & opening car
Next week race director Maurice Maurey and his team leave for Libya for the first reconnaissance trip of the LR2010 and to write the road books. To help with this job he gets the assistance of Alain Lopes. As a road book specialist Lopes has written the road books of the Dakar rally 8 times and also 8 times those of the Pharaoh’s Rally, together with Jacky Ickx.
For more than 20 years Alain Lopes (1948) was a professional rally pilot and co-pilot of rally legends such as Schlesser, Colsoul, Duez and -coincidence or not- Patrick Zaniroli. An impressive 16 times he participated in the Dakar rally: 8 times as co-pilot and 8 times as road book writer, which he did also for more than 50 other rallies.
In the Libya Rally organisation Alain’s main responsibilities are writing the road books for the regularity race and assisting Maurice Maurey in the writing of the general road book for the race category.
With Lopes on board, the Libya Rally can be sure of a seriously experienced team with decades of know-how; something any so-called competition can only dream of.
Cécile van Hattem: chief communication & press
Cécile van Hattem, 39 Jahre, geboren in Frankreich und wohnhaft in Holland. Seit 6 Jahre arbeitet Cécile im Motorrad Industrie, wie Projektleiter von die Motorrad Messe in Holland.
Dort hat Sie verschiedene Dakar Teilnehmer kennen gelernt und Ihre Passion für Rallys. Das kombiniert mit die Geschichten von Ihr Vater die gearbeitet hat wie Missionar in Senegal, hat Ihr sehr neugierig gemacht nach die Wüste und den Rallys. Zum Ziele der maximalen Sicherheit und reibungslosen Ablaufs der 3 Elemente (Rally/Pro - Adventure Class - Discovery Class) besteht das operative Team während der Veranstaltung aus bis zu 120 Mitarbeitern, einschliesslich Rennleiter (Sportkommisare), Mechaniker, Führer, Caterer, Medizinern, Berge-Trucks etc..
